The Story:

The ACPCP Cooperative is an organisation that works alongside the Finca Olivares farm, helping to provide social projects that strives for women empowerment
and improving the members’ quality of life through social projects which includes providing food security.

Coffee production in Peru is expensive, due to the abnormally high labour costs. In response we've seen some farmers abandoning coffee to grow other crops that require less maintenance.
Yet when buying from the ACPCP cooperative, they use a fixed-price model which is not linked to the market value. This gives them a fairer price for their coffee and gives them an incentive to carry on growing their coffee year on year.

As well as social action and coffee improvements, by also building beehives across the farms, this cooperative are able to supplement farmers' income with honey and help increase the areas bee population.
The profit from their sales has assisted in the building of the Cooperative's offices, with more security and facilities for the community to use. The site has a cafe which employs teenagers from nearby farms.

Our decaf is chemical-free as it uses the CO2 decaffeination process, which preserves the well-rounded flavour.
